Dear All,

So far I focussed myself on playing two games: RTCW and E.T.. I recently reinstalled RTCW but I noticed the famous OpenGL error which prevents the game from loading on my PC. I visited tons of sites and tried numerous solutions but so far I wasn't able to resolve the issue. I was wondering if my fellow clannies or other regular players on the servers also play other games next to RTCW and / or E.T and if so which one(s)? I doubted for a very long time to buy one of the versions in the COD and / or BF series but I haven't decided yet if I will buy one of these games. Even if I ever will by one of these games I will never quit playing E.T..

A solution that worked in the past was installing an older version of your videocard driver.
The Open GL drivers are embedded in your videocard drivers.

You could try running GLSetup which checks your OpenGL installation and installs the needed libraries.

ET Tracbase site causes that our TDA website lagged heavily. For now i disabled the menus linked to ET trackbase and put the GS server menu in place.

that is for the classic installation.
The latest installer includes 2.60b so no need to put in extra stuff.
Mods download by itself. when connecting to a server.

Do not forget to put your et.key in ETMAIN

normallly you are set to go.

Usinng ETLEGACY is better since the servers do not list in game any more with the calssic installation.
If yourun the installer choose C:\eTLEGACY as a folder. The installer does all the rest and you get to see many servers .

It is possible to have both ETLEGACY and the classic ET on the same computer.
You can try whatever works best for you.

Oops i sent you the wiki for linux. My Bad. Try ETLAGACY instead. It is rhe best way these days. Download the installer and run it. Select the folder c:\ETLEGACY to install the game to prevent the orange bug you can get on some video cards.

I did a full server config reset and hopefully this fixes the problem.
Also cleaned the logfiles.

New ET-key is in main-dir, I got level 10.
Butr no xp-save on cool-server.

Trackbase is listing ETNAM as down wich is incorrect.
I have added GS widget on the bottom left that gives the correct status.
Hope this will be fixed any time soon.
